Waterproofing Solutions for Civil and Landscaping Projects
Long-Term Waterproofing
Modern landscaping and civil infrastructure require reliable, high-performance waterproofing solutions capable of meeting diverse demands—from potable water retention in ponds to large-scale land sealing. Whether you’re designing artificial rivers, constructing dams, lining tailing ponds, or waterproofing raised planter beds, LRM’s VersEseal and TerraSeal systems deliver robust protection and dependable results.
At LRM, we specialise in waterscape applications with a focus on performance, environmental compliance, and ease of application. Our Australian-made membranes are manufactured under an ISO 9001:2015 quality-assured management system and trusted across civil, commercial, and landscape architecture sectors.
Built for Complex Outdoor Environments
Our waterproofing systems offer exceptional versatility, adapting to the needs of both sensitive and non-sensitive waterscape installations:
Artificial Rivers, Reflecting Pools, and Decorative Ponds
Water Gardens, Fountains, and Aquaponics Systems
Irrigation Ponds and Water Retention Basins
Tailing Ponds and Landfill Encasement
Rooftop Gardens, Raised Beds, and Planter Boxes
Dams and Reservoirs
VersEseal Rapid Build is approved to AS 4020:2018 for potable water contact, making it ideal for features involving aquatic life, irrigation, or human water consumption. For land sealing and landscaping where potable water is not a concern, TerraSeal offers the same ease of application and long-lasting performance.
Accreditations
Certified for Safe Use and Durability
LRM offers products tested and approved to the following standards:
- AS 4020:2018 – Potable water use (safe for aquatic life and irrigation)
- AS 4654.1:2012 – External above-ground waterproofing membranes
- AS 4858:2004 – Internal wet area membranes
Both VersEseal and TerraSeal are water-based, VOC-free, and safe for confined spaces and sensitive environments. Their chemical resistance, high flexibility, and seamless application make them ideal for exposed or submerged features.
Common Use Cases
Fish Ponds and Aquaponics Systems
VersEseal provides a flexible, fish-safe seal with excellent adhesion to concrete, timber, fibreglass, and geotextile
Artificial Waterfalls and Streams
Ensure watertight flow channels with seamless edge detailing
Reservoirs and Irrigation Ponds
Protect against seepage and maintain water levels
Tailing Ponds and Landfill Encapsulation
TerraSeal delivers robust, flexible containment in harsh, chemically exposed environments
Raised Beds and Planters
Create waterproof interior barriers to protect surrounding substrates
Landscape Water Features
Including reflecting pools, cascading water elements, and sculptural installations
Application and Detailing
Both VersEseal and TerraSeal are brush, roller, or spray applied for efficient on-site application. Critical junctions, penetrations, and wall-to-base corners should be reinforced with non-woven geo fabric to ensure long-term watertight performance.
General application steps:
- Surface preparation (clean, dry, structurally sound)
- Priming if required (porous or non-porous)
- Application of membrane in multiple coats
- Reinforcement of critical detailing with geo fabric
- Allow to cure fully before filling, planting, or backfilling
